What is PACE for PSWs? 

PACE for PSWs is an exciting, flexible 10-course online program created to provide much-requested support and education for Personal Support Workers – the hearts and hands of the health care team. Advance care planning (ACP) content is woven into the program content, emphasizing ACP as a process, and the different conversations that can arise and help to inform planning for future health and personal care. Participants will become more comfortable and confident when providing palliative care for people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

PACE for PSWs is a national program created by the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA),Hospice Palliative Care Ontario(HPCO) and Life and Death Matters, designed to meet the educational needs and interests of personal support workers.  This program was made possible through financial contributions from Health Canada and the Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem.
