Nova Scotia Health indicates that Eastern Memorial Hospital provides Palliative Care consultation and co-ordination. This includes services such as pain and symptom management; emotional, social and spiritual support; home support; volunteer support and bereavement follow-up.
The program also acts as a resource to the hospital, community agencies and the public on issues related to palliative care. Cancer and supportive care to individuals receiving active treatment of their illness is also available.
